Do you have an understanding how to keep financial records? Then the Group Treasurer role could be for you. The Treasurer assists the Chair and Group Scout Leader to provide effective financial control of the Scout Group.

This would include attending the governance meetings, preparing financial reports, managing the bank account, liaising with the sections and submitting accounts for the Annual Meeting. The committee is usually made up of parents of the children or friends of the Group and therefore can be quite relaxed.

Ideally you would have access to a computer at home with a suitable programme and be able to communicate by email. This role is ideal for someone who does not necessarily wish to work directly with young people but would still like to help to shape the Group.
